There is a lot of information below about the different accreditations and certifications and designations that I have earned.
I don’t expect you to read all of that, but it’s there if you want to.
What I want you to know is this. I take helping you very seriously. So over the past 15 years I have took every class I could so that I am always up to date with buying and selling real estate. It’s simple, the more I understand, the more I can help you.
ABR = Accredited Buyers Representative.
A buyers rep is a licensed real estate agent who represents a buyer in the purchase of real estate. When you sign a buyers rep agreement with your buyers representative, you can expect the following services. See the Buyers page for more information.
- Listen and understand your specific wants and needs.
- Search daily to locate properties that match your criteria.
- Refer you to a home lender who will pre-qualify you for a mortgage.
- Accompany you in viewing the homes you’ve chosen to see.
- Help you research properties and identify any problems or issues you should consider before you purchase.
- Advise you on making and negotiating an offer.
- Write the offer.
- Provide a referral list of qualified vendors (such as home inspectors, attorneys, lenders, title, escrow, etc.) for any related services that you may need.
- Keep track of all the details throughout the entire transaction—to closing and beyond.
CRS = Certified Residential Specialist
A Certified Residential Specialist is a REALTOR who has earned certification from the Council of Residential Specialists by completing a rigorous course of advanced training and by meeting significant experience requirements.
To earn the CRS designation, every REALTOR must have significant experience and a number of real estate transactions.
Every Certified Residential Specialist is required to maintain membership in the National Association of Realtors and must abide by its strict code of ethics.
EcoBroker = EcoBroker is the premier green designation for real estate professionals.
Real estate agents must complete a rigorous schedule of classes relating to all different scopes of “green” as it relates to real estate.
The EcoBroker® logo is the symbol of environmentally responsible and sustainable practices in the real estate industry. Certified EcoBrokers® meet buyer and seller demand for real estate professionals with a real understanding of the issues that drive current market decisions.
GRI = Graduate of the REALTOR Institute
The Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made a commitment to providing a superior level of professional services by earning the GRI designation.
REALTORS® with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients.
New technology, laws, procedures and the increasing sophistication of buyers and sellers require real estate practitioners to perform at an ever-increasing level of professionalism.
So it’s more important than ever that you work with an agent who has a keen understanding of the real estate business. The GRI program has helped the best and the brightest in the industry achieve that level of understanding.

SFR = Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certification
The Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certification for REALTORS in good standing with the National Association of REALTORS.
This certification is offered by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors.
Buyers real estate agents and selllers real estate agents are trained on how to manage a short sale, an REO, bank owned property or a foreclosure.
